Kleindröben is a district of the city of Jessen (Elster) in the Wittenberg district of Saxony-Anhalt .

Location and accessibility

Kleindröben is about 12 km southwest of the city of Jessen and is connected to it via the L114.

history

Probably founded by Slavic settlers, Kleindröben was first mentioned in documents in 1378 under the name Drouene . Over the centuries, several ways of writing the place have been noted, for example Dröffen , Drafen , Drobin , Droben , Troben , Tröben , Dröben and Klein Treben . It is not known when exactly the current spelling Kleindröben was established.
