Reicho is a district of the town of Jessen (Elster) in the district of Wittenberg in the state of Saxony-Anhalt . With its 58 inhabitants, it is one of the smaller districts of Jessen.

Location and accessibility

Reicho is located approx. 16 km east of the city of Jessen and is connected to it via the B187 , the K2216 and the K2217.

history

As a Slavic settlement, Reicho was first mentioned in documents in 1235 under the name Richower . It is likely that the von Richowe family of knights, who lived at the time of its foundation, gave the place its first name.
