Ruhlsdorf is a district of the town of Jessen (Elster) in the Wittenberg district of Saxony-Anhalt .

With its 289 inhabitants, Ruhlsdorf is one of the medium-sized districts of Jessen.

Location and accessibility

Ruhlsdorf is about five kilometers northwest of the city of Jessen and is connected to it via the B187 and L37.

history

Ruhlsdorf was first mentioned in documents in 1377 under the name Ruhlstorph . Until 1899, the Ruhlsdorf district was assigned to the former manor and today's Hemsendorf district .

The town's church is a neo-Gothic brick building built in 1886 with a polygonal east end and a retracted west tower.
