The Gmina Łukta [ ˈwukta ] is a rural municipality in the powiat Ostródzki of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in Poland . Your seat is the village of the same name ( German Locken ) with about 1200 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located in the west of the voivodeship. The district town of Ostróda (Osterode i. Ostpr.) Is about four kilometers southwest. Neighboring municipalities are Świątki in the northeast, Jonkowo in the east, Gietrzwałd in the southeast, Ostróda in the southwest, Miłomłyn in the west and Morąg in the northwest.
The rural community has an area of 184.7 km² of which 31 percent is used for agriculture and 54 percent for forestry. Their area is rich in channel lakes , which take up about a tenth of the area.
history
The parish was re-established in 1973 after being divided into Gromadas from 1954 to 1972 . From 1946 to 1998, its area belonged to the Olsztyn Voivodeship, with its layout changed in 1950 and 1975. On January 1, 1999, the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship was newly formed, which corresponds to the Polish part of the former East Prussia province .

traffic
The voivodship road DW530 runs from the district town of Ostróda (Osterode) in the southwest to Dobre Miasto (Guttstadt) in the northeast. In the capital, the DW527 crosses from Pasłęk (Prussian Holland) to Olsztyn (Allenstein) . In Łukta the DW531 branches off , which leads to Podlejki (Podleiken) .
Kozia Góra has a station on the railway line of Elbląg (Elbing) according station Olsztyn Główny (Allenstein station)
