The Gmina Będzino ( German municipality Alt Banzin ) is a rural municipality in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . She belongs to the Powiat Koszaliński (Kösliner Kreis) . The administrative headquarters are in Będzino (Alt Banzin) .
General
The rural community covers an area of 180.92 km², which corresponds to 10.8% of the total area of the Powiat Koszaliński. With a population of 9,300, the municipality ranks 37th out of 114 municipalities in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Road traffic
The Gmina Będzino is conveniently located on the national road 11 , which connects the Baltic coast near Kołobrzeg with the Upper Silesian Bytom . The district town of Koszalin is in the immediate vicinity.
In Mścicce ( Güdenhagen ), Voivodship Road 165 branches off from state road 11 , a five-kilometer-long Baltic Sea coast feeder that, especially on weekends, guides holidaymakers from Koszalin to the Baltic seaside resort of Mielno ( Großmöllen ) and its neighboring towns.
Rail transport
Line 402 of the Polish State Railways (PKP), the section of which has been in operation here since 1899, runs through the municipality . There are six train stations in Gmina Będzino: Mścice ( Güdenhagen ), Kazimierz Pomorski ( Bast-Kasimirsburg ), Będzino ( Alt Banzin ), Słowienkowo ( Wolfshagen ), Miłogoszcz ( Hohenfelde ) and Tymień ( Timmenhagen ).
In 1905 another railway line was put into operation in the area of today's Gmina: from Güdenhagen to Großmöllen (Mielno Koszalińskie), which was expanded in 1913 from Köslin to Nest (Unieścia). The line was managed by the Köslin city and beach tram . Operations on the extended line were stopped as early as 1945, and on the remaining section in 1994.
