The Gmina Przedbórz is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Radomszczański of the Łódź Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with about 3550 inhabitants.

The municipality is located in the southeast of the voivodeship and borders in the northeast, east and south on the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship . The cities of Łódź and Kielce are about 70 kilometers north and southwest, respectively. The Pilica River flows through the main town and partially forms the western border of the municipality. It borders the municipalities of Aleksandrów , Masłowice , Ręczno , Wielgomłyny and Żarnów in the Łódź Voivodeship and Fałków , Kluczewsko , Krasocin , Słupia Konecka in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.
The community has an area of almost 190 km², 40 percent of which is used for agriculture and 53 percent for forestry.
The mountain Fajna Ryba, at 347 meters above sea level, the highest point in the voivodeship , is located in the municipality.
history
The community was formed in 1973. It belonged to the Powiat Konecki until 1975 and from 1975 to 1998 to the Piotrków Voivodeship , which only existed at that time.

The town-and-country municipality (gmina miejsko-wiejska) Przedbórz with 7186 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2019) consists of the town itself and 28 villages with school boards (sołectwa). These are:

- The Przedborski Park Krajobrazowy Landscape Park was established in 1988. It has an area of 16,640 hectares and a buffer zone of 14,490 hectares. The five nature reserves belong to it: Bukowa Góra, Murawy Dobromierskie, Piskorzeniec, Oleszno and Czarna Rózga. The administration is located in the main town of the municipality.

The state road DK42 runs through the municipality and its main town . This begins in Namysłów (Namslau) in the west and leads via Starachowice in the east to the European route 371 (DK9). Voivodeship road DW742 runs from DK12 in the north to DK78 in the south .
The nearest train station is Włoszczowa . Łódź is the nearest international airport.
