Gordon Borberg (born February 23, 1978 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German ice hockey player ( defender ) who currently plays in the upper league for EC Peiting .

Career

Borberg began his career in the 1995/96 season when EC Peiting in the first League South and moved to the 1996/97 season for EHC Freiburg .

In the 1997/98 season Borberg was under contract with TSV 1862 Erding before he signed a contract with Deggendorfer SC for the 1998/99 season. Borberg also played for Deggendorf the following season before he moved to the Straubing Tigers in the 2nd Bundesliga at the beginning of the 1999/00 season.

After his time with the Straubing Tigers, Borberg went to the DEL to the Hannover Scorpions in the 2003/04 season , where he also began the 2004/05 season , before returning to the Straubing Tigers, with whom he was in the 2005 season / 06 the promotion to the DEL succeeded.

For the 2006/07 season Borberg moved to EHC Munich , where he acted as captain and came up with the shirt number 78. Borberg extended his contract and continued to play for Munich in the 2007/08 season despite a serious injury.

In March 2008 it was announced that Borberg will leave the EHC Munich after the 2007/08 season and that he will return to his home club, the EC Peiting, in the league .
