history
Armenheide used to be a monastery and colonist village owned by the St. John's Monastery in Stettin. The village was founded around the middle of the 18th century on the field mark of the village of Völschendorf (today Wołczkowo in Polish ) and enlarged through acquisitions. Around 1865 the estate that was leased consisted of two farms, called Armenheide and Johannishof , the Gutsforst, the Gutsforsterei and a school. There used to be a glassworks on site . In the colonists' village, which was merged with the Armenheide farm, there were three Büdners , a general store and an inn at the same time . Around 1864 there were 273 residents in Armenheide who lived in a total of twelve houses. Armenheide formed its own school community.
At the beginning of the 1930s, the district of Armenheide had an area of 12.1 km², and there were a total of 20 residential buildings in five different places on the parish grounds:
- Old glassworks
- Armenheide
- Hundsforth
- Johannishof
- Neuhaus
In 1925 there were 213 inhabitants in the municipality of Armenheide, who were distributed over 49 households.
Until 1939 the village of Armenheide belonged to the Randow district in the Stettin administrative district of the Pomerania province . On October 15, 1939, it was incorporated into the Ueckermünde district, where it remained until 1945.
After the end of the Second World War , Armenheide was placed under Polish administration and renamed Grzepnica .
