Guderup ( Sønderjysk or Alsisk : Gurop ) is the capital of the parish municipality ( Danish sogn ) Egen Sogn on the Danish island of Als .

history

The place is mentioned for the first time in 1196 as a church village belonging to the St. Michaelskloster in Schleswig . Between 1903 and 1916 Emil Nolde and his wife Ada lived in a fisherman's house a little north in Sjellerupskov during the summer.

Until the local government reform in 1970 , Guderup belonged to Harde Als Nørre Herred in what was then Sønderborg Amt , then to Nordborg Kommune in Sønderjyllands Amt , which was merged into Sønderborg Municipality in the Syddanmark region with the 2007 municipal reform .
