The Gutsfriedhof Beetzendorf is located approx. 1 km east of the Beetzendorf location on the road to Siedengrieben am Eiskuhlenberg. The cemetery was laid out in 1870 and contains graves of members, employees and guests of the von der Schulenburg family . It is listed in the monument register of the state of Saxony-Anhalt as a monument area with registration number 094 30542.

Tombs

In 1871 Anna von der Schulenburg-Wolfsburg (1826–1902), a daughter of Werner von der Schulenburg-Wolfsburg , had a crucifix towering over the cemetery erected by the sculptor Peter Fuchs . On February 12, 1894, the crucifix was smashed by a storm, on September 23, 1896 Bertha von der Schulenburg (1834–1918) had a cross built in its place .

Gravestone Charlotte von der Schulenburg

The gravestone of Charlotte Countess von der Schulenburg , b. Reichsfreiin von Friesen from the house of Rötha (born November 12, 1798 in Dresden; † April 30, 1874), is one of the oldest tombs preserved in the cemetery. She was the daughter of Johann Georg Friedrich von Friesen (1757–1824) and Juliane Karoline von Friesen, born. von der Schulenburg (1764–1803, daughter of Gebhard Werner von der Schulenburg ).

On July 5, 1821, she married Werner von der Schulenburg-Nimptsch (* August 7, 1797; † March 9, 1829), the son of Friedrich von der Schulenburg's second marriage (1759-1825) and Karoline von Oppen ( 1772–1797), who was entailing master at Beetzendorf ( Großer Hof ) and Osterwohle . Her first son, Adolf Friedrich Werner, died shortly after his birth in 1823, and her second, unknown son, died in 1825 while giving birth. In 1827 she had her daughter Anna, who married Wilhelm von Veltheim (1802–1868) in 1852 and died in Oberlößnitz in 1909 . In 1829, three weeks after the death of her husband, their son Werner was born.

A memorial stone commemorates Ernst Friedrich Werner Reichsgraf von der Schulenburg (born April 1, 1829 in Beetzendorf; † January 5, 1911 in Beetzendorf), son of Werner von der Schulenburg (1797–1829) and Charlotte born. von Friesen (1798–1874) and grandson of Johann Georg Friedrich von Friesen ; and his wife Bertha Charlotte Clementine Countess von der Schulenburg , b. Imperial Countess von der Schulenburg-Wolfsburg (born January 15, 1834 in Braunschweig , † March 31, 1918 in Beetzendorf), daughter of Werner von der Schulenburg-Wolfsburg (1792–1861) and Charlotte born. Baroness von Vincke (1797-1888).

From their marriage in Wolfsburg on September 23, 1854 , the children Adolf Friedrich (1855), Helene (1856), Gertrud (1858), Bertha (1861), Achaz (1863), Anna Katharina Adelheid (1865), Anna (1868) and Ilse (1875).

After a visit to the Knight Academy (Brandenburg an der Havel) Werner von der Schulenburg served as an officer in the 10th Hussar Regiment and led a Landwehr Escadron in the Main Army and an Escadron in a reserve regiment. In 1854 he said goodbye to military service and devoted himself to the management of the estates he had inherited from his father, the Fideikommiss Beetzendorf (Großer Hof) and Osterwohle, and at times also Klosterrode . He was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , the Municipal and Brandenburg Provincial Parliament , the German Reichstag , the Prussian Manor House and chairman of the German Aristocratic Association .

Another memorial stone commemorates Adolf Friedrich Reichsgraf von der Schulenburg (* July 3, 1855 in Beetzendorf; † September 13, 1925 in Beetzendorf), son of Werner von der Schulenburg (1829–1911) and Bertha von der Schulenburg (1834–1918) ; and his wife Hertha Reichsgräfin von der Schulenburg , b. von Gerlach- Parsow (born February 23, 1871 in Köslin ; † January 14, 1958 in Weimar ), daughter of August von Gerlach (1830–1906) and Asta born. von Kleist (1840–1933).

In 1876, Adolf Friedrich Reichsgraf von der Schulenburg joined the King's Uhlan Regiment (1st Hannoversches) No. 13 , but the following year he switched to the Regiment of the Gardes du Corps . In 1879 he finished active military service and began studying forest science , which was followed by a position as a forest assessor and chief forester .

In 1907 he married in Berlin, the marriage resulted in his son Werner in 1908 and his daughter Asta in 1910 (married to Bernhard von Breitenbuch, brother of Eberhard von Breitenbuch from 1933 ). After the death of his father in 1911 he took over the Fideikommiss Beetzendorf (Großer Hof) and Osterwohle. During World War I he was deputy district administrator of the district Salzwedel . His widow was expelled from Beetzendorf in 1947 and moved in with her daughter.

Countess von der Schulenburg (born December 28, 1856 in Beetzendorf; † January 2, 1948 in Beetzendorf), daughter of Werner Graf von der Schulenburg from Beetzendorf (1829–1911) and Bertha geb. Countess von der Schulenburg from Wolfsburg (1834–1918), whom he married in Beetzendorf in 1889.
  • Gertrud Countess von der Schulenburg (born October 18, 1858 in Beetzendorf, † April 17, 1927 in Beetzendorf). Her parents were Werner Graf von der Schulenburg from Beetzendorf (1829–1911) and Bertha geb. Countess von der Schulenburg from Wolfsburg (1834–1918). She was dean in the Wallenstein Abbey in Fulda and for many years head of the Lower Saxony parament association of the Marienberg monastery in Helmstedt , which her aunt Anna Countess von der Schulenburg (1826-1902) had founded.

  • Ilse Countess von der Schulenburg (born September 8, 1875 in Beetzendorf, † December 12, 1947 in Klötze ). Her parents were Werner Graf von der Schulenburg from Beetzendorf (1829–1911) and Bertha geb. Countess von der Schulenburg from Wolfsburg (1834–1918). She was the captain of the Wallenstein Abbey in Fulda.
