Culture and sights

Buildings

Siedengrieben was originally a dead end village .

  • The village church of Siedengrieben is a small, three-part building ( nave , choir , apse ) with an attached tower . The field stone church made of unprocessed reading stones shows an irregular masonry that contrasts with the clear architectural structure. The late Romanesque forms (especially the small, tall, arched windows) were largely preserved. The apse roof is still partly made of monk and nun tiles . The interior painting creates a solemn atmosphere.

religion

The Protestant parish Siedengrieben belonged to the parish of Beetzendorf. Today, the church belongs to the parish area Beetzendorf the church district Salzwedel in Propst Sprengel Stendal Magdeburg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
