If it works every now and then, instructions come in from the airport tower to approaching planes, or he may inadvertently overhear a conversation between Randy and a schoolmate in his room. Randy says that tool time should actually be idiot time because his “age” “messes up” everything and “keeps grunting”. Tim is offended and asks the neighbor Wilson for advice. He explains to him the problems of puberty, during which children become more independent and want to sharpen their “claws” on their parents first.
53 | 4th | The pain in the ass | A Sew, Sew Evening | Oct 6, 1993 | October 1996-April 1997 | Andy Cadiff | Rosalind Moore |
While Tim is working on setting up his hot rod, a loud, intrusive person walks into the garage and introduces himself as a new neighbor. Since this dented Tim's non-original grille, Tim can't stand him and tries - in vain - to avoid an invitation to dinner by claiming that Jill is an alcoholic. A few days later, however, the neighbor Tim brings an original grille that he organized thanks to his relationships. Brad enrolled in home economics for the new school year because he believes he will be the only boy in the same class with 30 girls. Unfortunately, word of his plan got around, so all the other guys signed up there too. The great demand means that two classes are formed; one for 30 girls, one for 30 boys!

Only Tim is apparently completely unimpressed and goes to play basketball with the children. He explains to him that the form of mourning is very individual.

On Halloween, Tim terrorizes his entire environment with his more or less funny scare actions. He equips his family with artificial plague bumps, skeletons, brains and entrails. In the program he receives a package with biscuits and a letter from Rose, who describes herself as his longing admirer. This is followed by a call from her at his home, although his telephone number is not officially known. She says she loves and wants him and will also be present at the next Tool-Time. Worried, he again takes advice from Wilson. He explains to him that it often happens that TV stars are idolized by viewers. That could also be dangerous if the worship is not returned; celebrities have already been poisoned. He starts his next show completely insecure, but it turns out that everyone (Jill, Mary, Wilson, Al and Heidi) had conspired against Tim in order to get back on him for his constant pranks.
