history

The Hüttelsgrün residential area was built around 1900 as a district of Ebersbrunn on both sides of "Lengenfelder Straße". The settlement structure resembles a street village without a village center and without its own church. Hüttelsgrün was created primarily as a residential location for workers from the Zwickau industry and hard coal mining, which were important around 1900. As a district of Ebersbrunn, Hüttelsgrün belonged to the Zwickau administrative authority , which was renamed the Zwickau district in 1939. As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , Hüttelsgrün came as part of the Ebersbrunn community in 1952 to the Zwickau-Land district in the Chemnitz district (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon district of Zwickau from 1990 onwards District Zwickauer Land rose. With the incorporation of the municipality of Ebersbrunn into the municipality of Lichtentanne, Hüttelsgrün became a district of the municipality of Lichtentanne on January 1, 1997.

On January 1, 1999, Hüttelsgrün was incorporated into Zwickau, which has been the district town of the Zwickau district since 2008. In terms of church, Hüttelsgrün still belongs to the Ebersbrunn parish today.
