history

In the course of the commissioning of the Rhine-Main S-Bahn network on May 28, 1978, the Kronberger Bahn , which runs through Eschborn, was also included. When the S-Bahn opened, the Eschborn Süd stop in the south of the city of Eschborn went into operation. Since the opening of the stop, it has been served by the S-Bahn lines S3 and S4, initially to Frankfurt Hauptwache , today to Langen (S4) or Darmstadt Hbf (S3).

From 2007 to 2008, the stop was rebuilt and expanded to make it barrier- free.

During rush hour, however, there are still individual journeys that are made to the Oberursel train station .
