Hans Joachim von Hagen

Hans Joachim von Hagen (* 1646 in Stettin ; † April 6, 1701 ) was a Prussian officer , most recently major general and heir to Naulin, Pitzerwitz and Paetzig.

Hans Joachim was the son of Tido Christoph von Hagen (* October 2, 1618; † June 28, 1660 in Naulin), Lord of Naulin and a Swedish and Brandenburg ensign , and his wife Agnes, born von Eickstedt from the House of Coblentz († 17 January 1663 in Naulin). His brother Philipp Siegmund was Lieutenant General and Governor of Geldern .

Military career

Hagen attended the University of Jena from 1657 to 1659 and then the Brandenburg University of Frankfurt until 1662 . In 1664 he entered the service of Kurbrandenburg as a musketeer and became a lieutenant two years later. As captain , Hagen took part in the campaign against France and Sweden in 1672/79 . In 1683 he became a lieutenant colonel in the regiment "Kurprinz auf Pferd" . With his promotion to colonel on January 2, 1687, he was also appointed regimental commander . On September 28, 1692, the elector appointed him as commandant of Oderberg and Löcknitz and promoted Hagen in this position to major general on June 27, 1696.

family

Hagen had been married to Anna Ursula von Ketelhack from the Strehlow house in Uckermark since 1675 . The couple had the following children:

  • Anna Sophie (October 12, 1680 - February 2, 1745) ∞ Friedrich Wilhelm von Versen (March 16, 1665 - May 5, 1715) (parents of Otto Kasimir von Versen )
  • Antonie (Catharina) Luise (* June 12, 1681; † April 20, 1740) ∞ Bernd Christoph von Küssow (1667–1744)
  • Barbara Juliana ∞ Daniel Friedrich von Sydow (* 1675; † December 21, 1727) son of Adam Wilhelm von Sydow
  • Katharina Luise ∞ Johann (Berend) Christoph von Küssow (* November 27, 1667; † November 29, 1744)
