Hans Köpf

Hans Leonhard Köpf (* 19th April 1914 in Berlin , † 11. June 1978 in Tuttlingen , by other sources on 12. June 1978) was a Baden-Wuerttemberg politicians of the CDU and 1963-1978 District Administrator of the district Tuttlingen .

Childhood, youth, studies, war and prison time

Hans Köpf was born in Berlin, but spent the first years of his life in German South West Africa . His father worked as an official of the Reich Colonial Office in this colony. After the loss of the German colonies through the Treaty of Versailles , the family moved to Ulm in 1919 , where Hans Köpf attended grammar school from 1923 to 1932 . After passing his Abitur, he went on to study law in Munich , Berlin and Tübingen , which he completed in 1935 with the first state examination and a doctorate (title: “The legal status of the entrepreneur who is deprived of his ability to run the company, according to the law on the order of national work. ” ) ended. His two-year legal traineeship was interrupted by military service from 1936 to 1938, so that he did not take the Grand State Examination until 1940. He then fought in World War II and was taken prisoner by the Soviets in Kurland in 1945 , from which he was released in 1949.

Administrative career

From 1950 Köpf worked as a Councilor in the District Office Ludwigsburg and in 1951 first in the District Office Künzelsau and a short time later in the district Schwabisch Gmund displaced, where he remained until 1954 deputy district administrator Konrad Burkhardt was. He then worked as a senior councilor for the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior and in 1955 moved to the Heilbronn district office , where he worked as deputy to district administrator Eduard Hirsch . In 1961, Köpf was appointed government director and in 1963 won the election as Tuttling District Administrator. As a result of the Baden-Württemberg district reform in 1973 , the old Tuttlingen district was dissolved. During this transition period, Köpf worked as an official administrator and in 1973 was elected district administrator of the new and larger district. He died in 1978 after a long and serious illness in office. His successor was the CDU politician Hans Volle .
