Hans Lauscher

Hans Lauscher (born January 24, 1904 in Coesfeld , † January 24, 1981 in Greven ) was a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from a humanistic grammar school, Lauscher studied law in Freiburg im Breisgau , Munich and Cologne . As a student he became an active member of the Catholic student associations of the KV : Rheno-Palatia in Freiburg, Saxonia in Munich and Nibelung in Cologne. In 1926 he passed the first and in 1930 the second state examination in law. He received his PhD in 1928 for Dr. jur. and settled in Greven as a lawyer in 1931 . After the National Socialists came to power, his appointment as a notary was refused.

Political party

After the Second World War , Lauscher joined the CDU in Greven, was chairman of the CDU district association Münster-Land from 1948 to 1966 and chairman of the CDU district association Münsterland from 1948 to 1950 . From 1948 to 1950 and from 1958 to 1962 he was a member of the party's Westphalian state executive committee.

Lauscher was initially involved in local politics and in 1948 became a member of the Münster district council . He moved into the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament in 1950 , to which he was a member until 1966.

Public offices

In July 1958, Lauscher was appointed Minister for Economic Affairs, Medium-Sized Enterprises and Transport to the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia led by Prime Minister Franz Meyers . During Lauscher's term of office, he initiated the establishment of the Münster-Osnabrück Airport . After the formation of a coalition government made up of the CDU and FDP , he resigned from the government in July 1962 and was replaced as Minister of Economics by Gerhard Kienbaum .
