Hans Nitzschke
Hans Nitzschke (born May 1, 1903 in Hanover , † August 26, 1944, died near Paris ) was a German painter and architect .
Life
Hans Nitzschke was a student at the Werkkunstschule in Hanover. In 1922-23 he worked as an architect in the studio of Michael Rachlis in Berlin worked.
In 1924 Nitzschke returned to Hanover and since then has worked as a painter and architect. With Friedrich Vordemberge-Gildewart , Nitzschke had founded the “K” group in Hanover and took part in an exhibition in the Kestner Society .
After Alexander Dorner and the Russian constructivist El Lissitzky had set up the " Cabinet of Abstracts " in the Provincial Museum in 1927 , Nitzschke co-founded the artists' association die abstrakte hannover in the same year , together with Kurt Schwitters (the initiator ), Rudolf Jahns and Friedel Vordemberge -Gildewart and Carl Buchheister . Also César Domela known to the group and made the connection to the already internationally known Dutch De Stijl group here. The "abstract hannover" were in turn a local group of the "International Association of Expressionists , Cubists and Constructivists eV", which had existed in the rooms of the Berlin " Sturm " since 1919
The future urban planner Rudolf Hillebrecht also wanted to work “ modern ” - and after completing his studies initially worked for Nitzschke for six weeks (from July 1 to August 15, 1933), and then switched to Adolf Falke without a break .
Hans Nitzschke fell in World War II in 1944 in Paris.

Hans Nitzschke designed tubular steel chairs , but also built studios and - as an interior designer - set up shops such as
- 1924: the business premises for the shoe manufacturer Salamander in Berlin , Friedrichstrasse ,
- 1929:
- Buildings for Deutsche Gasolin AG in Hanover and Essen , as well
- after - successful - competition for Telefonwerke Fuld & Co. in Frankfurt am Main ,
- 1930: (together with Hans List ) the Steintorhalle restaurant in Hanover, Georgstrasse / corner of Nordmannstrasse, and destroyed in World War II
- 1930/31:
- the interior fittings of offices in various administration buildings of Günther Wagner AG as well as in private rooms, as well
- together with Hans List the briquette advice center in Hanover.
Honors
- The Nitzschkeweg in Kirchrode , laid out in 1998, honors the painter and (interior) architect with its name.
