Hans Wehrl

Hans Wehrl (born April 20, 1905 in Offenbach am Main , † October 5, 1995 in Echzell ) was a German actor .

Life

Hans Wehrl was raised as the son of a businessman in a Catholic boarding school. In the early 1920s he received acting lessons in Frankfurt am Main and then made his debut on a touring stage. Then he got engagements in Giessen , Remscheid , Kaiserslautern , Eisenach , Erfurt , Gotha , Bremen and Leipzig . From 1951 to 1958 he worked at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin , after which he moved to the Federal Republic, gave guest performances at stages in Frankfurt am Main and Heidelberg and had engagements in Mainz , Essen and Berlin. During his time in the GDR, he was a popular performer at DEFA and German television .

Hans Wehrl was married to the actress Tilli Breidenbach from March 1942 to August 1949 .
