Harald Polzin

Harald Polzin (born September 29, 1963 in East Berlin ) is a German actor , coach and trainer.

Life

In the final phase of the GDR , Harald Polzin did his military service as a construction soldier at the Leuna works in Leuna and the Buna works from May 1989 . From May 1990 he continued his service as a community service provider in a retirement and nursing home.

Polzin received his acting training from Doris Thalmer , at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin and at the pantomime school of the German Theater in Berlin. In 1990 he passed the parity stage maturity examination in the subject of "drama".

He had theater engagements at the Kammerspiele of the Deutsches Theater Berlin (2007) and from 2008 in several independent Berlin theater productions. In 2010 he was a guest at the theater of friendship in the title role of the fairy tale play Il ré cervo ( King Deer ) by Carlo Gozzi . From 2010 to 2013 he was engaged at the Berliner Ensemble .

Polzin already had his first small film roles in the final phase of the GDR. Later he worked for the cinema a. a. with Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck , Michael Hofmann , Oskar Roehler , Thomas Stuber and Nico Sommer . At the side of Lina Wendel , he played one of the leading roles in the tragic comedy Silvi , an admirer of the female main character , which premiered in 2013 at the Berlinale in the category "Perspektive Deutsches Kino". In various television films and TV series, he was a. a. directed by Ingo Rasper , Nils Willbrandt , Oliver Hirschbiegel and Lars Montag in front of the camera.

Polzin is the founder and director of the Berlin improvisation theater "Life Game Company Berlin", with which he realized projects across Europe. He published a book on improvisation techniques called The Art of Improvisation . He also works as a coach and trainer for companies and in seminars for private individuals.

Harald Polzin is married, has two grown children and lives in Berlin.
