The closest centers are Gummersbach (11 km northwest), Cologne (61 km west) and Siegen (45 km southeast).

history

The place was mentioned for the first time in 1509 . “Theil in der Haselbach.” Its spelling changed at the end of the 17th century from Haselbach or Haselbich to Hasenbach . In 1731 6 families lived in Hasenbach, in 1810 26 people, in 1964 58 people.

Until the end of the 20th century the place belonged to the municipality of Waldbröl .
