Culture and sights

St. Nicolai Church
  • The St. Nicolai Church (Protestant) was probably built as a successor to a St. Nicholas Chapel in the 14th / 15th centuries. It was built in the 19th century as a late Gothic hall church made of quarry stone. Like the objects listed below, it is a cultural monument of the city of Wolfsburg in Hattorf.
  • The former parsonage widow's house, built in 1774 as a two-storey four-column hall house, stands near the church.
  • The original Teichmühle located on the Schunter was lent in 1318 by the Duke of Brunswick. It was in operation until 1956. Today's mill building in the south of the village dates from the 18th century.
  • At Kirchbergstrasse 10 there is a large, very well-preserved four-sided courtyard from 1891, which is now used for residential purposes.
  • A number of well-preserved half-timbered buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries can be found in Krugstrasse.
