Heinrich Karl Hermann Harnickell (born January 23, 1836 in Wabern ; † May 16, 1920 ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Life

Heinrich was the son of the Hessian forest inspector of the same name, Heinrich Harnickell (1793-1860) and his wife Marie, née Keßler.

Military career

After his education at the military academy in Kassel Harnickell was on May 26 in 1854 as Portepeefähnrich the rifle battalion of Kurhessische Army transferred. He was promoted to secondary lieutenant in mid-September 1854 and worked as an adjutant from the end of January 1862 .
