The Heldenberg nature reserve is located in the area of the towns of Donzdorf and Lauterstein in the Göppingen district in Baden-Württemberg .
The area extends east of Winzingen , a district of Donzdorf. To the west runs the state road L 1159. To the south runs the B 466 and flows the Lauter , a right tributary of the Fils .
meaning
The 213.5 hectare area has been registered under NSG no. 1,198 designated as a nature reserve. It is a "diverse, ecologically valuable landscape with heaths , hillside swell moor , wet and dry meadows, orchards , hedges , forest fringes and near-natural forest types - from ravine forests to forests on dry and warm locations." They are "networked habitats of a multitude of threatened Animal and plant species. "
