Helene Grass (born June 28, 1974 in Hamburg ) is a German film and theater actress . She also speaks regularly in radio plays and audio book productions .

Life

Helene Grass - daughter of the architect Veronika Schröter and the writer Günter Grass  - is the second youngest child of her father's six biological children. Helene Grass grew up with her siblings in Hamburg, Berlin and Zurich . After graduating from school, she completed an acting training at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich . She had her first engagements in Munich, Braunschweig and Zurich. She worked for Bavarian Broadcasting (BR), North German Broadcasting (NDR), West German Broadcasting (WDR) and was involved in numerous cinema and television productions.

In an interview conducted by journalist Christine Mortag, when asked about her favorite children's books, Helene Grass names the titles Wir Kinder aus Bullerbü and Das doppelte Lottchen . The reason she gives is that she would have liked to have been a twin.

Grass lives in Detmold with her two children and her husband, the conductor and general music director at the Detmold State Theater, Lutz Rademacher .
