Helmahof is a place in Marchfeld in Lower Austria on the territory of the cadastral municipality of the same name in the municipality of Deutsch-Wagram in the Gänserndorf district .

geography

The place is located about 18 kilometers northeast of the center of Vienna , 6 kilometers outside the city limits near Süßenbrunn . The Helmahof settlement is located northeast of Deutsch-Wagram, north of the Northern Railway at around 160 m above sea level. A. Height. It includes almost 1500 buildings with a good 3700 inhabitants, more than Deutsch-Wagram itself (55% of the community population).

The corridors west of the Russbach around the Rußbachhof also belong to the Helmahof cadastral community with 587.5 hectares (around ¹ ⁄ _{4 of} the community area) .

history

The Helmahof is already listed in 1697 (as Helma ), at that time it was still alone on a wide field. It was an economic yard of the Süßenbrunn rule .

Infrastructure

The L13 Deutsch-Wagram (B8 Angerner Straße ) - Bockfließ (L12 to Gänserndorf) runs through Helmahof .

The place has - on the eastern edge of the settlement - a stop for the northern railway (kilometer 20.8, for the western districts the station Deutsch Wagram is closer). You are approached by the S1 of the Vienna S-Bahn every half hour. Travel time to Vienna Floridsdorf is around 20 minutes, to Vienna Praterstern 30 minutes and to Gänserndorf around 10 minutes.
