history

Hohenholz was created as a small village with a hamlet floor. The place was first mentioned in the fief book of the Würzburg monastery , which must have been built between 1303 and 1313, as "villa desolata in Hochultz". The manor was obviously in a dilapidated state at this point in time. The current manor was in 17./18. It was built in the 17th century and belonged to the von Seckendorff family at that time . From 1790 this became Frankenstein .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 3 estates in Hohenholz. The high court exercised the rule of Ullstadt . All property had the manor Ullstadt as a landlord .

As part of the community edict, Hohenholz was assigned to the Ullstadt tax district, formed in 1811, and to the Ullstadt rural community in 1813 . With the second community edict (1818) it was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community of Langenfeld.
