Homburg-Bröl is a district of Nümbrecht located on the Bröl in the Oberbergisches Kreis in southern North Rhine-Westphalia within the administrative district of Cologne .

Location and public transport

Located in the small Bröltal between the villages of Göpringhausen , Huppichteroth , the paper mill and Homburg Castle , the townscape is characterized by the Waldstraße settlement on the southern slope. The place is as the crow flies around 1.2 km northwest of the center of Nümbrecht.

There is a bus stop for the Nümbrecht community in town. There are also regular buses to Nümbrecht, Gummersbach and Waldbröl, among others.

Origin of name

The place name was coined by the Bielstein – Waldbröl small railway as Bahnhof-Nümbrecht / Homburg (Bröl), as the place is below Homburg Castle on the course of the Bröl.
