Hong Kong and China Gas is the main supplier of natural gas in Hong Kong. Hong Kong and China Gas was founded in 1862. The company is headed by Alfred Chan .
The largest shareholder in Hong Kong and China Gas is the Chinese company Henderson Land Development (HDL). HDL is currently trying to acquire a majority stake in the company. Lee Shau Kee , chairman of HDL, is also chairman of Hong Kong and China Gas , as are three out of ten other board members in both companies.
