After the abolition of patrimonial , Unterkunreuth ( Dolní Kunreuth ) formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Mühlbach in the district and judicial district of Eger . The parish was Mühlbach. After the Munich Agreement , the village was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the district of Eger until 1945 . After the end of World War II , the village returned to Czechoslovakia and the German-speaking population was expelled . In 1952 the place was renamed Dolní Hraničná. The chapel was demolished in 1952. In the years 1962 to 1965 the Eger was dammed north of the village . The Skalka dam was initially used to supply Cheb with drinking water and energy. After the completion of the Horka dam , the reservoir was opened for recreational purposes. On April 1, 1976, the village was incorporated into Cheb . In 1980 the Cheber districts Horní Hraničná and Dolní Hraničná were combined to form the district Hraničná. Since November 24, 1990, Hraničná is a district of Pomezí nad Ohří.
