IC 2151 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Rabbit in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 132 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 60,000 ly. Together with IC 438 , it probably forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair.
The type Ic supernova SN 2009mi was observed here.
The object was discovered on January 22nd, 1900 by Herbert Alonzo Howe .
