IC 2164 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sab in the constellation Table Mountain in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 493 million light years from the Milky Way and about 165,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on December 18, 1900 .
