IC 2163 is a bar-spiral galaxy in the constellation Great Dog , about 116 million light years from the Milky Way . It is currently colliding with the larger spiral galaxy NGC 2207 .
The object was discovered on February 11, 1898 by Herbert Alonzo Howe .
