IC 2181 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sab in the constellation Gemini on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 219 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy IC 2182 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on February 7, 1896 .
