IC 3091 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sa Coma Berenices in the constellation of the northern sky . It is estimated to be 341 million light years from the Milky Way and about 130,000 ly in diameter. It is listed as a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster under the catalog name VCC 193 , but is too far away for that.
The galaxies NGC 4208 , NGC 4212 , IC 3080 , IC 3093 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 7, 1904 .
