IC 445 is a lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble type S0: in the constellation Giraffe in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 241 million light years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years across. Together with PGC 19335 , it forms the isolated galaxy pair KPG 114 .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on September 6, 1888 .
