IC 451 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Giraffe at the northern sky . It is around 235 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 90,000 light years.
The galaxy IC 450 is located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by William Frederick Denning in 1890 .
