IC 4730 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 / a in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 195 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light-years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 4726 , IC 4727 , IC 4731 , IC 4735 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on July 20, 1901 .
