ISO 3166-2: CD

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of ISO-3166-2 codes for the Democratic Republic of the Congo includes the codes for the 25 provinces and the capital district.

The codes consist of two parts separated by a hyphen. The first part gives the country code according to ISO 3166-1 (for the Democratic Republic of the Congo CD), the second the code for the province.

The current country code was last updated on November 2016.

The current codes are available on the ISO website under #iso: code: 3166: CD .

With the change in the second newsletter (ISO 3166-2: 2002-05-21) the province Haut-Congo was renamed Orientale . Previously the code for this province was CD-HC. In November 2016, the territorial reorganization of the Democratic Republic of the Congo implemented in 2015 was also adopted for the ISO codes. Since then, there are separate codes for all 25 provinces and the capital Kinshasa.
