Dependent islands of Mauritius

The list of ISO-3166-2 codes for Mauritius contains the codes for the five cities, three dependent islands and the nine districts.

The codes consist of two parts separated by a hyphen. The first part gives the country code according to ISO 3166-1 (for Mauritius MU), the second the code for the city, the dependent island or the district.

The current country code was last updated in the fourth newsletter of December 10, 2002 ( PDF ).

The current codes are available on the ISO website under #iso: code: 3166: MU . With the change in the fourth newsletter, the district of Port Louis and the city of Port Louis were separated from each other and received different codes ( MU-PL and MU-PU ).
