I want to live is the tenth studio album by Peter Maffay . The album can be assigned to German rock .

Musical style

Musically, Ich will Leben offers guitar rock of all shades, with some calm ballads to be heard in addition to all the rocky sounds. In terms of text, the album also has a wide range and offers e.g. Partly metaphor-rich, sometimes slogan-like rhymes that not only take a political stance, but also address some social problem areas. In addition, emotional poetry found its way into the repertoire of Ich will Leben .

Maffay said: " Due to the subject matter, Ice Age is of course a song that has not lost its weight, a classic". The song is about the dangers of the Cold War .
