It's You I Want to Live With is an English-language studio album by the German hit and rock musician Peter Maffay , which was released in 1973. The songs are English versions of his first three albums.

Emergence

Malcolm "Mal" Luker, former keyboardist for The Smoke and sound engineer at Union Studios in Munich , Pete Bellotte, who had already written texts in English for songs by Michael Holm , and Jack Lloyd translated some of the German-language hits from Maffays for the album first studio albums in English. The original German texts come from Michael Kunze . In addition, some songs by Barry and Robin Gibb were recorded in the original text, which Maffay had already sung in German (e.g. If I Were the Sky as I am your friend on the album You are like a song ).

Publications

The album was initially not available in Germany. In 1982 It's You I Want to Live With was released in Great Britain as a double LP together with the English-language album Josie as It's You / Josie .
