history

Igelsdorf was founded by the Lords of Gründlach between 1050 and 1100. The place originally consisted of several courtyards. Pretty soon afterwards the place came to the bishopric of Bamberg . In 1555 there were 9 properties in the village. About 100 years later there were 13 properties.

At the end of the 18th century there were 30 properties in Igelsdorf. The high court was exercised by the Bamberg center office in Neunkirchen . The village and township government had the Bailiwick Office Neunkirchen held. The Neunkirchen caste office was the sole landlord of all properties (1 three- quarter hat, 1 half hat, 7 quarter hats, 8 eighth hats, 1 estate, 12 houses)

As part of the community edict, Igelsdorf was assigned to the tax district formed in 1808 and the rural community of Langensendelbach .

On May 1, 1978 Igelsdorf was incorporated into the city of Baiersdorf as part of the regional reform .
