Industria Argentina Vehículos de Avanzada , IAVA for short , was an Argentine manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Buenos Aires-based company began producing automobiles in 1971. The brand name was IAVA . Production ended in 1979. In 1985 the company was dissolved.

vehicles

The Kikito was a VW buggy style vehicle , albeit on a Fiat basis. The open body was made of plastic . A four-cylinder engine with 86 mm bore , 55.5 mm stroke , 1290 cm³ displacement and 71  HP power drove the vehicles. About 20 of these were made. At times, IAVA also produced the Fiat 133 under license.

The 1972 Mara and 1977 Sport models remained prototypes . They were two-door coupes . Motor-wise, they are no different from the Kikito .
