Rosatti y Cristóforo Industrias Metalúrgicas SA , or RYCSA for short , was an Argentinian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Santo Rosatti and Francisco Cristoforo founded the company. Ciudadela , Buenos Aires and Córdoba are named as locations . There were factories in San Nicolás, Arrecifes and Quilmes . They made cranes , boilers, machine tools and metal structures. Automobile production began in the mid-1950s. The brand name was RYCSA , which according to some sources was also Gilda for a model. Production ended in 1960 at the latest. The company ran into financial difficulties in 1977 and was dissolved in 1978 after Rosatti's death.

The Mitzi or Mitzi B 40 model was a small car under a license from Siata . An air-cooled two - cylinder four-stroke engine with a 62 mm bore , 72 mm stroke , 434 cm³ displacement and 12  hp was mounted in the rear and drove the rear wheels. The vehicle had a wheelbase of 170 cm and a track width of 115 cm. The curb weight was given as 419 kg. The body with a rolling roof offered space for three people.

The Gilda was a mid-range vehicle . A water-cooled V4 engine with 82.6 mm bore, 84 mm stroke and 1798 cm³ displacement made 55 hp. The wheelbase measured 268 cm and the track width 140 cm. The vehicle weighed 1200 kg.

The Gauchito pick-up was also available on the same basis . Its engine only made 50 hp. It had a payload of 680 kg.
