ASA Aluminum Body is an Argentinian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The San Isidro company started producing automobiles in 1983 or 1985. The brand name is Asa . One source names Nestor Salemo as the owner, another Julio Acuña and Miguel Dellepiane. Around 26 vehicles have been built so far.

According to one source, the only model is the Monofaro . This is a two-seat roadster , the one -seater from Maserati is modeled after the 1950s. The first version was in the range from 1983 to 1986 and found around six buyers. A four-cylinder engine from Fiat with 1,608 cc displacement and 100  hp power powered vehicles. The wheelbase was 248 cm and the track was 142 cm.

A four-cylinder Volkswagen engine with a displacement of 1781 cm³ and an output of 96 hp has been driving the vehicles since 1986 .

Another source from 2006 states that, in addition to replicas of the Lotus Seven and the Porsche 550 , individual pieces based on historical models from Alfa Romeo , Amilcar , Frazer Nash , Lancia and Maserati have been made since the 1990s .
