Lodi Automóviles was an Argentinian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Alberto López Rolandi founded the company in 1973 in Lomas del Mirador in the province of Buenos Aires . Another source names the place Ramos Mejía . He started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Lodi , derived from the name of the founder. Superstructures for cars and trucks were added later. Production ended in the 1990s.

The first model from 1973 was a vehicle in the style of a VW buggy , which came in two versions. The engine, however, came from Renault . The body was made of plastic .

In addition, bodies for Citroën Méhari , Jeep and pick-ups are named.

All-terrain vehicles with plastic bodies have been handed down for the period from 1983 onwards .
