Ingo Ludwig Frenzel

Ingo Ludwig Frenzel (born November 9, 1966 ) is a German film composer .

Life

After extensive musical training at the UDK Berlin, Ingo Ludwig Frenzel studied media music at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin. So far, Frenzel has composed the film music for numerous German-language film productions. In 1994 he wrote film music for the first time, back then for My Dear Man . Frenzel also composed the music for Philipp Stölzl's film debut , which was released under the title Baby . He worked with Christian Alvart (Pandorum, Antibodies ) on the TV film 8am 28. Even outside of the film, Frenzel u. a. works for the Deutsche Staatsoper (Orpheus 2011) or the Volksbühne Berlin (Johnny Chicago with Kurt Krömer ).

Particularly successful was the film Toyland by Jochen Alexander Frey thanks from 2007, a film about truth and trust at the time of World War II , which the Oscar was awarded for the best short film in 2009 and numerous other awards.

In 2011, Frenzel received the German Film Critics' Prize for his soundtrack to Lollipop Monster . As part of the Berlinale 2015, Frenzel was awarded the European Composer Songwriter Alliance (ECSA) prize in the category: Best Orchestral Score for the music for the film Der Medicus .

Ingo Ludwig Frenzel is a member of the jury for the German Film Music Prize.
