Józef Gosławski

Józef Jan Gosławski (born April 24, 1908 in Polanówka , † January 23, 1963 in Warsaw ) was a Polish sculptor and medalist . He designed coins (including 5 zł with a picture of the fisherman), monuments (including Frédéric Chopin in Żelazowa Wola ) and medals (including 1939 ). Monogram signature JG. He was a prizewinner in many art competitions and was decorated with the Silver Cross of Merit .
