Positions

In an interview with the journalist Eren Güvercin in June 2013, Micksch took the view that “in principle the term“ Islamism ”should be avoided. Because this suggests a connection between Islam and violence ”. But Islam wants to be a religion of peace, by which the behavior of Muslims must be measured. In the same interview he also criticized the fact that the Turkish-Islamic organization “ Millî Görüş ” (IGMG) and the “ Muslim Youth in Germany ” (MJD) were still mentioned in reports on the protection of the Constitution - “they are thus presented as a threat. This then justifies their social discrimination. That is anti-Muslim racism ”.

As spokesman for the German Islam Forum , Jürgen Micksch criticized the Evangelical Press Service in April 2015 for the fact that the Muslim Forum Germany, newly founded by Muslims, Alevis and Yazidis, would exclude Muslims who were organized in the major umbrella organizations.
